GPTHuman AI humanizer review
By Sourabh Singh18 October 20265 min read

Cheap annual pricing and a guarantee in the marketing. Independent evidence is thin.
GPTHuman is a low-priced humanizer with a built-in detector, and the annual plans are cheap. The catch is that its "guaranteed undetectable" marketing is hard to verify, the free trial is only 300 words, and we found very little independent review data on it, including no Trustpilot page for gpthuman.ai itself. Test the free trial against a detector you trust before paying.
What GPTHuman is
- Humanizer with tone options (professional, casual, academic, creative) in 80 languages, per the homepage.
- Built-in AI detector, paraphraser and a developer API.
- Paid plans add a feature the site calls Shield Guard, plus full detector access.
- The company is described as based in Montreal, Canada.
GPTHuman pricing and limits (as of October 2026)
| Plan | Price | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 300-word trial, 300 words per output, limited AI detector use |
| Starter | $15 a month, or $99 a year ($8.25 a month) | 25,000 words a month, 1,000 words per output |
| Plus | $25 a month, or $168 a year ($14 a month) | 60,000 words a month, 1,500 words per output |
| Unlimited | $49 a month, or $312 a year ($26 a month) | Unlimited words a month (subject to abuse guardrails), 2,500 words per output |
The pricing page lists a bypass-all-detectors guarantee marked with an asterisk, and the homepage mentions a free rewrite if content is flagged. We did not find a refund policy on the pricing page; it links to Terms and Conditions.
What works
- Low entry price, especially annual (from $8.25 a month for 25,000 words).
- Humanizer, detector and paraphraser in one account.
- Per-output limits up to 2,500 words on the Unlimited plan, so most essays fit in one or two runs.
- No credit card needed to sign up, per the homepage.
What does not
- A 300-word free trial is enough for one paragraph, not an essay.
- "Unlimited" carries an asterisk for abuse guardrails, and the exact threshold is not stated.
- We found no independent Trustpilot or Reddit data for gpthuman.ai. One forum review we saw said the output still failed GPTZero and ZeroGPT despite a high internal human score, but we could not verify it, so treat it as one anecdote.
- A built-in "human score" from the same vendor that sells the rewrite is not independent evidence. Check output in a separate detector.
- Do not confuse it with similarly named tools such as GPTHumanizer (gpthumanizer.ai), which is a different product.
Who GPTHuman is for
It suits a budget-conscious user who wants a cheap annual humanizer for casual content and who will read and edit the result. It is a risky pick if you need documented results, a clear refund policy, or anything that has to hold up under a strict academic detector.
GPTHuman vs TextAsMe
| GPTHuman | TextAsMe | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 300-word trial | Free AI detector, 200 free humanizing words |
| Detector | Built-in, limited on free | Free detector with a sentence-level heatmap explaining why each sentence is flagged |
| Rewrites | Tone options | Style DNA rewrites that match your own writing |
| Paid | $15 to $49 a month, cheaper annually | Pro $18.50 a month or $111 a year |
GPTHuman is cheaper per month on its entry plan. TextAsMe's angle is understanding: you see why each sentence is flagged and rewrite it in a voice that is yours. We do not claim to bypass Turnitin or any detector.
Honest alternatives
- Tightest budget: GPTHuman's annual Starter is hard to beat on price, if the free trial convinces you.
- Want more transparency: pick a tool with a free detector that shows sentence-level reasons.
- Want a track record: choose a product with a larger public review history and read recent reviews before paying.
Find the sentences carrying the AI signal in your draft, then rewrite them in your voice.
Try it freeCommon questions
There is a free plan with a 300-word humanizer trial, 300 words per output and limited AI detector use. Signing up does not need a credit card, per the homepage.
Plans are $15 (Starter), $25 (Plus) and $49 (Unlimited) a month, or $99, $168 and $312 a year. Check gpthuman.ai for current prices.
The site says so and offers a free rewrite if content is flagged, but we have not tested it and found little independent evidence. No humanizer can guarantee results against every detector.
No. gpthuman.ai and gpthumanizer.ai appear to be different products with different sites, so check the URL before you pay.
The Unlimited plan advertises unlimited words a month but notes abuse guardrails, and caps each output at 2,500 words.
