Free AI Detector & AI Checker
Free AI detector and AI checker with a sentence-level heatmap instead of one percentage. Checks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini text, and explains every flag. No sign-up.
Paste a draft of 25 words or more to check whether it was written by AI. You get an overall AI score from a live detector, a heatmap where each sentence is coloured by its own risk, and the reason behind every flag. It works as an AI checker, AI scanner or quick AI test for essays, emails and posts.
The signals are the ones that actually move detector output: variance in sentence length, how predictable each word is given the ones before it, flagged stock phrasing, vocabulary range, repeated sentence openers, and the absence of concrete detail.
The overall and sentence scores come from a live detector check; the explanations come from our own analysis. We do not query Turnitin, GPTZero or Originality.ai, because their models are not open to third parties, and anyone claiming your exact Turnitin score is guessing.
FAQ
Paste the text above and run Detect AI. You get a real detector score, the sentences most likely to be AI-generated, and why each one was flagged.
The score comes from a real detector, and it is still an estimate. No detector on the market is reliable enough to accuse someone on, including the paid ones, false positives on non-native English writing are a documented, ongoing problem across the whole category.
It looks for the statistical shape that language models produce in general, flat rhythm, high word predictability, stock connective phrases, rather than fingerprints of one vendor. That holds up better across models than a model-specific classifier.
Please do not use it as evidence. Use it as a conversation starter. The heatmap is genuinely useful for showing a writer which sentences read as mechanical; it is not fit to support an academic-misconduct finding, and neither is anything else currently sold as one.
Scanning is unlimited with or without an account. Only the rewrite pass is capped, because that is the part people build workflows on.
Yes, substantially. Under about 100 words any detector is close to guessing, including this one.
Both names describe the same thing: a tool that estimates whether text was machine-written. This one checks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other model output and shows the result sentence by sentence.
The writing analysis and your Style DNA run in your browser. For a real AI score, the text you check is sent to an AI-detection provider, and we never store it. When you rewrite on a paid plan, the draft is sent to our server, rewritten and sent back without being stored. AI features (rewriting, humanizing and Copilot) send the text to Cloudflare Workers AI, which processes it and doesn't keep it.
