Questions, answered.

What does TextAsMe do?

TextAsMe helps you revise AI-assisted drafts. It highlights mechanical writing patterns, explains the signals behind them, and suggests rule-based rewrites. Add a sample of your own writing to guide the rewrite with Style DNA.

Does it run Turnitin or GPTZero?

No. TextAsMe does not send your draft to those services. Its scores are estimates based on its own writing signals. They are not third-party detector results and cannot establish who wrote a text.

What is Style DNA?

Style DNA measures ten traits from your writing, including sentence length, vocabulary range, contractions, and punctuation habits. Add at least 150 words you wrote yourself to create a profile.

Can I rewrite without a writing sample?

Yes. You can analyze a draft and revise mechanical phrasing without a profile. A Style DNA profile gives the rewriter an additional reference for your own writing habits.

Where is my writing stored?

Your draft and Style DNA are saved in local storage in the browser you use. Analysis and rewriting happen locally. Clearing that site data removes saved work; it does not sync across devices.

Will a rewrite guarantee a human score?

No. TextAsMe aims to make writing clearer and closer to your voice. It does not guarantee detector results, and a score is not proof of authorship. Review every rewrite for meaning and accuracy.

Does it support languages other than English?

The current analyzer and rewriter are designed for English. Their phrase rules, vocabulary signals, and contraction patterns are English-specific.

Do I need an account to try it?

Yes. Sign in with Google, GitHub, or a code sent to your email to open the studio. Once you’re in, paste at least 25 words or load a sample to explore.
